Description
Lacinato Kale Seeds 1702 Heirloom Vegetable. A rather primitive looking kale with strap-like, crinkled blue-green leaves 7.5 cm (3″) wide by 25 cm (10″) long. Plants can grow to 1 m (39″) in height. Baby greens can be harvested from 30 days after planting with full size savoyed leaves taking up to 60 days. Often noted as Dinosaur Kale, Lacinato has been around since at least 1800.
How to Grow
400 seed/gram. Sow seed directly outdoors 1 cm (1/2″) deep in early spring or from June to early July in rows 60 cm (24″) apart. Thin seedlings to 30 cm (12″) apart. Kale is very cold tolerant and develops its best flavour after the fall frosts.
